McPherson County Community Developmental Disability Organization is one of 27 Kansas organizations that advocates for Developmentally Disabled individuals and their families. The CDDO acts as the umbrella of disability services and service providers and ensures that eligible individuals receive the support services they need with available funding.
The CDDO functions as the point of entry for services and determines eligibility for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental delays. Available choices and options of services are then fully conveyed to the family to meet the needs of each individual.
McPherson County CDDO ensures that service providers comply with rules and regulations concerning individual rights and responsibilities, health, nutrition, record keeping, and person centered support planning. Continuity and portability of services, gate keeping into and out of State Hospitals or Intermediate Care Facilities is also monitored by the CDDO.
McPherson County CDDO strives to ensure that service providers do not discriminate in who they serve or how they serve an individual based upon the severity of the disability.
